Red Ensign

Excitement in the British ship building industry! Not the most usual theme for a film, but they managed to make it interestingly enough. Much due to good acting from the likes of Leslie Banks, Frank Vosper, Carol Goodner and Alfred Drayton. The story is a little uneven, but when good it was alive with Banks especially coming across strong as the man wanting to get the shipping industry out of it's depression taking a lot of risks and even doing unlawful things to achieve what he wants.
