RDR the game is amazing (seriously, if you like Westerns at all and own a current gen console, get it now), but this video montage cobbled together from bits of various cutscenes seems kinda pointless at best, crassly commercial at worst.

Its a short film made from in game footage from the excellent 'Read Dead Redemption'. The delusional girl guided by faith who is shown twice for various reasons is a piece I believe Hillcoat definitely made sure was included and it is the strongest part of the short. Its obviously made for promotional purposes but for what it is, it is done very well.

Wouldn't it be great if more shorts like this were made? Take a great director, a video game that is on par with the greatest films, and you could have one of the greatest series of all time.

Sags in the middle but still very good (based on the story, stylish action and attention to detail). I possess a fond appreciation for video games with compelling stories (Metal Gear Solid, Max Payne, Heavy Rain) and Rockstar is known for its share of great titles (GTA, Max Payne). From the looks of it, Red Dead Redemption could bring the wild back to the Wild West. EDIT: have played the game, defines awesomeness !
