Tale of colonial oppression that effectively conveys a range of perspectives while also arguing that the political exploitation of the notion of the "terrorist" is a prime means of deceitfully pursuing state violence.

Such an important event, with a strong indictment of the french state, which I'm totally on board with and a permanent play on the double meaning of both "order" and "moral". However, surprisingly, I found Kassovitz' direction very flawed (except for some beautiful long takes) particularly the edition of the dialogues. Too bad, it could have been closer to its clear reference: Paths of Glory.
