Rats - Notte di terrore

If you've ever wondered what a cheap Mad Max version of Night of the Living Dead would look like (but with rodents), well, wonder no longer. The final twist is memorable for all the wrong reasons.

90 minutes of terrified rats being molested and worse by shrieking Italians

semi interesting premise - but the post apocalyptic setting is mostly meaningless. If running around abandoned buildings dressed like an eighties rock band chasing rats to uninspired synth music is your idea of action then this is your film.

terrible movie. as critics have said, it totally squanders its potential with its reliance on animal cruelty and a poorly conceived setting. i could tell right from the start that the use of real cruelty against real animals would make this movie un-watchable, and I was right. kicking, hitting, throwing, crushing, drowning rats - not my idea of a good film.

Part of my randomizer movie challenge. I'm sure otherwise I would have never bothered finishing it. Parts of it were funny but otherwise it's just fairly boring, missing on the suspense/horror part. Some decent/interesting gore effects, though.

More Night of Boredom; for a movie about killer rats it's disappointingly unsuspenseful and unentertaining. The rats are not menacing and the rest of it isn't well paced enough to make up for this.

A bunch of post-apocalypse punks against an offscreen villain who throws rats at them from a bag. Not sure how to even rank this masterpiece.

A gory Italian ripoff of the obscure camp classic _Chosen Survivors_, with man-chewing rats subbing for the original's vampire bats.
