Slow paced and full of humanity. Captures the feel of the environment beautifully.

Underdeveloped, like the country it was shot in. Felt more sorry for the sheep than the human characters that tend to them.

A droll, unpleasant, and quite uninteresting film that I saw nearly two years ago. Everything in the story that leads up to its memorable final shot conclusion makes sense on paper, but on the cinema screen it's unappetising. [UPDATE] My country strangely now has a remake of this -- I may watch it one day

Touching story, temperate comedy.

Good acting aside, this movie was slow and relatively uninteresting. The drama between the brothers seemed forced, and the love story stunted. It is a long slog to the 5 minutes of slightly satisfying ending. It was not particularly worthwhile to me.

very decent movie with undercurrents of dark humor from Iceland that doesn't need much dialogue to portray its characters and situation.

Rams is a touching movie about 2 brothers. And sheep. Story developes nicely, and the pacing is also great. That ending is deeply emotional too, it's great.

Great performance by the dog; spectacular use of nudity; more subtle than America's recent version of this film, Captain America: Civil War

The Icelandic Hrútar [Rams] (2015) is the type of movie small-film lovers love. Even though my tastes are a little more conventional, I liked it too. In a odd way something was lacking for me to totally connect with the brothers, even if there is a series of very strong scenes between them. Rams is a cold film, in a double sense, and we all know that double-negative is a positive!

I wanted to see Iceland's awesome landscape, but got a whole lot of old naked men. And copulating sheep. Still a decent movie about loneliness and idiotic stubborness.

Quite enjoying these spartan Icelandic films. If 'Of Horses and Men' was a tasting plate, this is a main course. Bleak, grey settings with a plot harbouring glimmers of warmth to counteract its environment. The pacing in these films is worth noting too, long and composed, like the beards on these Nordic actors. Men who all seem to be weathered, salt of the earth types, employed in a husbandry of some form and usually spend 1 or 2 scene's shitted on white spirits.

22 Desembre 2015 - Ben explicat, apropa molt al lloc i a la vida que porten. Mantén l'interès. No sembla forçat però és bon drama. Fa patir i compadir.
