Latest Uwe Boll shitpile. It's repetitive, its attempt at addressing any sort of political issue is a complete failure, and the camerawork was that of a 3rd grader.

The only thing I ever heard about this movie is that it was the only good Uwe Boll movie. That doesn't do it justice. This is a good movie by any standards. I could see this movie being directed by Steven Soderberg and it easily compares with Gus Van Zant's award winning "Elephant". The mis-steps are few (like the bingo hall scene). It's meaning and intent is questionable but overall it is a very well acted, well directed and well written film. No matter who's name is on it.

Uwe Boll manages, against all probability, to make a really disturbing and engrossing movie. Coupled with several really brilliant shots and this is quite possibly the most challenging movie to see from 2009.

My first Boll. Semi decent film from the supposedly worst of the scum director. It's ridicule is on an even level, nothing we don't see on daily basis from blockbusters. Handheld cam can be very nausea inducing. There is this particular scene that caught my fancy. The guy on rampage without a motive enters a bingo hall, people don't even notice him in his full body kevlar and automatics hanging from both sides and he doesn't bother to kill them, gets a sandwich, ice tea and back to massacre.

Some are calling this Boll's best 'attempt' at filmmaking to date. However, comparing this movie with his previous disasters is like comparing rabbit pellets with shit retrieved from the toilet in Hitler's secret bunker. One is from a wide-eyed, cuddly forest animal; the other is from a mustachioed maniac; but in the end, they are both still piles of festering feculence. Seizure camera, regurgitated footage, unintelligible dialogue, shoddy editing, 'profound' message--it's all here...on crack.

Getting some cred as Boll's "smart" movie, but it's really really stupid. As it goes on, it sinks in how little Uwe Boll has to say. It's just some dude, killing people. At the end there's a kind of clever twist. The pointless nihilism, ugly camerawork, shitty dialogue, and clunky pacing make the whole thing feel like being cornered by a crazy person.

Nothing too moving, nothing too disturbing, this is as average as average can be by movie standards. By Boll standards it is a pretty hefty leap in the right direction, especially for the man who directed BloodRayne and Alone In The Dark. Rampage isn't a fantastic piece of cinema art, nor is it worthless crap shat from a baby calf, it is just a quick passer-by. A fun little passer-by that is a good for a view and nothing more, something that Boll has been looking for in forever.

Boll accidentally makes the Postal movie, it's watchable and is actually pretty well made compared to Boll's previous efforts, I'm actually looking forward to what other things he'll come up with. This is despicable smug garbage though, Brendan Fletcher is the shittiest thing to put in your movie.

I feel odd saying this but Rampage isn't completely terrible. While Uwe Boll in the past has created films so bad they boggle the mind in their ineptness Rampage actually has competent cinematography and a plot, though idiotic, is actually followable. There is even a moment of genuine hilarity in a bingo hall that honestly impressed me. However, aside from that, this film clearly relies on shock value rather than anything of merit. Not essential viewing but certainly Boll's best work.

Horrifying realism, and a slight twist in the plot make this one fully compelling.

Remember, no Russian. Making a movie with an indiscriminate spree shooter who kills people because he's woke about capitalism and climate change as the protagonist was an absolutely fucking bonkers idea in 2009. Watching it in 2019 is just... S O C I E T Y.

This flick that shows that Boll can actually make a decent flick, I prefer his movies when he is not trying to shoehorn humour into them. This has some good intense scenes in it, and has a bit of a Falling Down feel going on.

Handheld/shaky cam is the worst trend in modern action movies. It makes me nauseated. Though this would have been terrible even with good camera work. There is zero merit or value here. I can't recommend it to anyone except as an example of what to not do when making a movie.

For a Uwe Boll film, it's not all that bad. Yes, the one scene they use CGI instead of practical effects is laughably awful, there appear to be decent sized plot holes/plot conveniences scattered through the "Rampage" part, etc. But it's kind of well thought out at times, and the dialogue is a bit unique (characters repeating what they said because no one heard it, etc.) Overall not nearly as bad as one might expect.

Uwe Boll's Rampage is violent and without mercy, but the guy in the coffee shop deserved it. Just saying.

Where does he carry so much ammunition? Nobody knows. But the characters are interesting, the story is somehow believable, and the extreme violence seems oddly appropriate. Worth watching.

I saw this following the rant Uwe posted after the kickstarter for Rampage 3 failed to meet its target. I think there was a line around Ferraris in this film that also made it into the rant, so at least he is still towing the party line. The plot covers some messy high level anarchist philosophy driving a murder spree with a twist. The bingo scene was a well placed tempo break & highlight. Eerily similar events occurred in Norway 2 years after this was released.

Boll is still an angry white man, sloppily conflating Ayn Rand and Daniel Quinn as he sees fit. But in a way Rampage, in creating a situation where anyone could be on the unfortunate end of "population control", might get under the skin of the privileged creeps who espouse social Darwinism. Or, you know, it might just inspire mass murderers. I did like the deliberate pacing and protracted montage, though the handheld camera's waaaaay overenthusiastic and the editing and finer points are crude.

I forced myself to watch this in my quest to see every movie Katharine Isabelle has starred in. Yes, it's Bolls best work, but that's like saying Roland Emmerich is a better director than Michael Bay. True but pointless.

Maybe my expectations for Uwe Boll are so low that between this and Seed, I kind of enjoyed his movies. Is he getting better, can't say for sure as I've only sampled some of his work, but at least I know he has it in him to make something alright from time to time.

While Uwe Boll has managed to release his grip on video game movies as of late, he fails to do the same for senseless violence. The funny thing is that the better part of the viewing public have the same penchant for violence, so I guess that makes this one less crappy than the rest of his movies.

Rampage ends up being an entirely pointless experience that there is little reason to subject yourself to. That is, unless you are the kind of person who likes visualizing the death of hundreds of people, all shot dead by one man who has seemingly endless ammunition. If that's the case, then go nuts, because you'll probably enjoy Rampage. For others, it gets boring fast, and without a sympathetic lead or other reasons to care, you'll end up wanting to turn the film off around the 100th death.

Its in poor taste, immoral and bashes you in the head repeatedly with its message...but frankly, there are Oscar winners and highly praised films that are just as bad. Without any pretence, this nihilistic and nasty little film, which barrages you with references to the Iraq War, environmental issues etc, is in ways a far greater work than if Paul Haggis or even a Richard Linklater was to try to direct it. Its not a fantastic film, but Uwe Boll has managed to make a sickly compelling work.

Although U.Boll's reputation is quite negative, this movie isn't. Well the camerawork isn't so smooth and acting isn't great yet it's bang for buck IMO. No big flaws in any part and nothing shocking on the other hand.

Not a great film but by Uwe Boll standards this movie is pretty much Citizen Kane. Extremely violent and not completely inept. Way to much shaky cam though. Still I gotta give Boll a bit of credit. Pretty much his masterpiece.

The amazing thing about Boll isn't how much he sucks, but that he seems to be constantly seeking out fascinating new ways of sucking. And so, we have this mumbly, repetitive, awfully filmed shitpile, which seems to be yet another misguided stab at respectibility from the only fucking genius (etc.).
