Ramona

One of Griffith's earlier pushes towards a big prestige production, with a major literary license, grand vistas, etc.; Biograph billed this as the most expensive film ever made (as of 1910). The cinematography's nice, with some depth to the shots and plenty of scenic landscapes spread through a densely yet effectively compacted 17 minutes or so of plot. All in all, it's ambitious and it comes together as intended; it's more historically interesting than compelling to watch, though.

Horribly acted and incredibly boring. Even at such a short length this was a chore to sit through.
