Johnny Mack Brown was one of the king cowboys of B-westerns. He certainly was a figure well-suited for for his part. Unfortunately his films rarely go beyond the usual western routine. So much so, that little stood out and they quickly become dull. Raiders of the Border (1944) is one of those. Perfectly serviceable, but oh so forgettable.
