Mullins' roller-coaster faith journey is the essence of this DVD. On the positive side, the film is strong on the idea that we all need to be lovers of Jesus. And it's strong on grace. However, grace often comes across as cheap here. Sinfulness doesn't carry the destructive weight that Scripture underscores. Depending on one's own faith journey, this story has the potential to help someone get out of spiritual duplicity ... or possibly become more comfortable in it. (pluggedin.com)

I did like watching how Rich Mullins grew up and became famous, but this movie was boring at times. It did have it's moments, but altogether it wasn't that great.

I am sure this movie did an alright job delivering the life of Rich Mullins. Speaking as a film critic, I would say this could be very slow and boring for some people, and it was definitely overboard in it's length. The characters are developed steadily and some of the acting is good, but I think it felt just a little anti-climatic. now going by what I believe in, I would say that this movie does an excellent job of showing how Mullins lived a hard life and the message is delivered quite well.

Some inaccuracies to real life, but a very poignant telling of the life of an incredible man of God. Honest about the struggles of a Godly life. I didn't find it boring at all. It was heart-rending, dramatic, and real. If that was the actor actually singing, he was very close to Rich's voice.
