Daffy is an idiot, Bugs is a genius, put those two together and you've got a hilarious short.

"Rabbit season!" "Duck season!" Need I say more?

A flipping classic, I used to watch this at my grandparents all the time.

Bugs: "No, it's duck huntin' season."

Bugs Bunny is one of the greatest drag queens ever

"Rabbit season!" "Duck season!" ...then the greatest twist of all time.

This makes a perfect cross-section of Looney Tunes. It has the trappings of a typical Bugs Bunny cartoon (Elmer hunting, Daffy trying and failing to outwit Bugs), with all the strengths, like the gorgeous backgrounds and dynamic animation. This and the next year's spiritual remake Rabbit Seasoning would make the perfect cartoons to introduce someone to Looney Tunes.

All of them are ONE GUY.

It's difficult to rank these shorts, they almost demand a different scale from feature-length films. That being said, this is one of the best Warner Bros. shorts out there, if not the best ever.

Daffy finally decides to team up with Bugs so he doesn't always have to be the asshole.

Brilliant.

A couple of funny bits, kinda hit or miss.

The slapstick is hilarious.

Probably my favorite Daffy and Bugs short.

One of the most imaginative "Merrie Melodies", "Rabbit Fire" is fun throughout. Add Mel Blanc's excellent voice work and the very good animation and you've got a classic.

This is like the most classic of the classic Bugs and Daffy sketches.

Oh the memories.

The elephant and the twist at the end set this one above the rest, humor-wise.
