A very detailed documentary lasting over 2 1/2 hours about the production of King Kong (1933). Perhaps a little too much recreating by Peter Jackson and his crew. The interesting part of that was that they went through the story and what exists of Creation (1931), a canceled RKO movie which served as creative inspiration for a lot of the effect and set ideas used in the classic King Kong. What felt unnecessary was that devoted a lot of time recreating "The Lost Spider Pit Sequence".
