Quest for the Mighty Sword

It's pretty bad but at least not offensive. The lead is a dud and not believable as an action hero. The plot is convoluted yet elementary. The chemistry is lacking. The effects are fine for a low budget Conan ripoff. The music is stuck on tense. Erotic potion made his mom walk the earth with the scarlet letter until she was called mother again? Fav scene: slicing Grindle in half was done so well I rewinded to see if I could catch a goof; there wasn't one.

This barbarian flick is laughably dumb...the hero looks like they found him in the parking lot of a Judas Priest concert, the story just meanders from one thing to the next, and the soundtrack is all really cheesy modern music. Plus, it turns out the "mighty sword" was in his bedroom the whole time. Some quest.

Joe D'Amato is not very good at making bad movies. He makes everything seem stupid and ugly. Of all the Ator movies I preferred the unofficial 3rd installment that was not directed by D'Amato. I did not plan to watch all of these this week, it just happened.
