Quest for Love

Well the plot summary basically wraps this up: absurd romance starts out with an intriguing sci-fi premise which is all but forgotten for the remainder of the film, which is devoted to a gauzy, melodramatic sudser of a romance between a wooden Bell and vamping Collins. Climactic race to save Collins' life is scored as if it's the establishing scenes of a 60s Bond film, while Bell's increasingly stalkerish tactics produce amusement rather than tension. Almost histrionically bad enough to be good.

A flawed film that I thoroughly enjoyed. Leading a cast full of beautiful women, Collins is positively radiant. The premise is pretty great. We get amazing scenes like the one at the party. Best of all: I never had any idea what would happen next. Recommended, even if I would agree that it's not a very good film.
