Quel fantasma di mio marito

A 1950’s italian movie trying to deal comically with the Palestine war? Exoticizing the Middle East, and of course a pretty racist portrait of arabs (including brownface)? Yikes. Made this otherwise funny comedy, at least in the not xenophobic first 50 minutes (and last 25 min), too uncomfortable to properly enjoy in the 21 century. The main couple were charismatic and had good chemistry too

Light humorous scenario of a husband plotting to fake his death, only to actually die and return as a spirit on his wife can see. Walter Chiari makes the silliness work.
