Queen of Outer Space

Remarkably entertaining when you consider the bad script (by Charles Beaumont and Ben Hecht, no less!), the poorly paced direction, the incredibly cheap special effects, and the inept performances by all the males in the film. Still . . . Zsa Zsa is very good at standing around, her posture perfect, her beauty imperious. blissfully unaware of the absurdity of it all. And the rest of the girls are hot too. So why not give it a chance?

Awesomely inept sci-fi'er with a delicious undercurrent of male chauvinism. Has so many different flavors of "wrong" that one is baffled. Recommended for lovers of truly bad cinema.

Even if there was something good about the film, the pacing is so terrible that it destroys everything, unbearably slow and drawn out for no reason

I love this in all its '50s cheese. Legs, misogyny...it's no worse than a Star Trek TOS episode without any of the philosophical elements. Obviously spoofed ever since. Cool to see props and costumes from other sci-fi films. Legitimately surprising when the queen takes off her mask for the first time. Fav scene: when they first crash on the planet and get captured and taken to an audience of all women, it really did feel otherworldly.

Enjoyable camp

Why this has lived on as a so-bad-its-good cult film is a mystery. Although I've read write-ups saying the humor is unintentional & others saying its deliberate, both & neither are true. While the movie's got some intentional comedic bits of its own, none of them are all that funny & as for the unintended humor, there's nothing here that's egregiously bad enough to qualify for cult status other than the outdated view of women which can be funny if you enjoy the same joke over and over.

WILDLY entertaining despite everything it's got going against it. Crap script, lame special effects, inept direction... Of course I'm hunting for the DVD :-)

Cat Women on the Moon with Zsa Zsa Gabor, right down to the terribly stupid spider in a cave and everything. Entertaining none the less.

If you're expecting a sci-fi sex romp stick with Barbarella (and let's face it, Fonda beats Zsa Zsa hands down in the sex appeal market anyway). This is more like the mysoginistic boring cousin of Forbidden Planet.
