Prison Without Bars

Prison Without Bars (1938) is a British alternate-language production of the French film Prison sans barreaux (1938) starring the same actress playing the lead, Corinne Luchaire. A movie which throws tantrums, but at other times dwells on the more conventional movie themes. Still a darker tone for a British film of the 30s. Also a rather progressive prison movie, rather diverse, though without having seen the French film, I get the feel this would be a lot more at home in a French environment.
