Princess O'Rourke

It starts off as a cute little reverse-Cinderella tale (even described that way by the title character), before taking a more "serious" tone with pro-American wartime propaganda at the end. I didn't particularly care for the chemistry of the leads, which made the plot direction less believable. Also, from a modern perspective, these films with men aggressively pushing marriage on women a few days after they meet are just so uncomfortable.

Royal romance with Princess Olivia de Havilland finding a naive American pilot Robert Cummings on her travels. And the rest is Cummings being dumbfounded by it all. Cute for sure. The most heartfelt moment was out clubbing with their friends Jack Carson & Jane Wyman, when the two non-royal married couple embraced on the dance floor.

Pleasant enough light comedy, dragged down a bit esp near the end by some flag waiving but considering when it was made that would be near obligatory.
