Eric Mabius sure is pretty. Parker Posey is the only one with any energy at all in this thing.

This is movie has a really interesting and realistic script. Parker Posey is great and gives another entertaining and well acted performance. Eric Mabius is also very good in this film. I would definitely recommend this film.

The central character comes off as even more of an asshole than Dean Hess - and not in a very watchable or interesting way - so this is mostly an enjoyable Parker.P surrounded by pointless shit. *Preview*: #14#, story, (ratings), Parker.P/7

A vehicle for Parker Posey to show us a pretty great piece of work. Sadly, the surround material is pretty mediocre.

Somewhat of a quirky indie movie, but not enough to be amazing.

For a little while, the lives of the characters and the themes of the workplace, relationships, parenthood and responsibility are almost interesting enough to make a movie. Parker Posey's supposed star turn as the larger-than-life boss is not really all that funny or outrageous. It's a good enough part but not enough to build an entire movie around. The good news is it's all quite inoffensive and forgettable; the bad is the totally lame cop-out of an ending which leaves a sour taste.

Parker Posey never seems to appear in any movies I can fully recommend. Well, this one doesn't do it either, as strong performances and some tense scenes are gravely wounded by a sudden ending which fails to address or satisfy the questions raised by the film's plotlines.

Parker Posey's character *is* the movie and plays the ruling corporate ideology.

Parker Posey was at her best in this film. She cracked me up at the start of the movie with her almost manic personality. At one moment she was dressed up as Pocahontas for a Halloween party singing Karaoke and in the next she was firing workers for no good reason. She's also wildly inappropriate which works for some time but grew tiresome further into the movie. The ending was the biggest disappointment. It just felt really quick and clean and then it was all over. It felt unfinished.

Parkey Posey really nails this role, striking the perfect balance between being a powerful businesswoman thoroughly in control of her environment and the fragile, needy character that has met a desperate crossroad in her life. This would have been a far more satisfying film if the ending wasn't so clinical and tailored, but hey, isn't that the business world for you?
