Its prominent use of sudden white is very startling, however the spaces in between feel rather uninteresting and dull.

At least these have a theme, they're all the hand-painted stuff. This is my favorite kind of Brakhage. I admit, though, that's it mainly because they're trippy and beautiful to look at. Brakhage's artistic rationales for these usually sound like hogwash to me, and they are somewhat interchangeable. Also hard to take in large doses.
