Powder goes out of his way to look as different as possible dressing like a complete dingus with Bono sunglasses and we are suppose to be shocked when he gets bullied into dus-powder. Powder is rocking the summer I got really into Diablo complexion. Director Diddles - There is a part where a doctor leaves the examination room and is all yeah there isn't a single hair on his body

Eminem's rise to fame, told through the eyes of those around him. Fairly inaccurate/boring.

Sentimental and manipulative as it is, I have had a strange kind of identification with Powder in my adolesence.

Hated this movie when they made us watch it in middle school. And the director's a pedo, so into the trash it goes. Only gave it a 1 because of Jeff Goldblum.

I swear the writer went out of his way to make every piece of dialog in this film as ham-fisted as possible. The film has no real focus; it's just a random barrage of bad things happening to Jeremy that awkwardly leads into the ending. The characterization is also laughable, where the villains are the most cartoonish assholes imaginable while Jeremey is depicted as being a faultless, perfect saint. I don't buy that a recluse like this would be so calm and composed against social stimuli.

This kid never stops creeping me out. I know I’m basically siding with the bullies here, and I’m pro albino, pro magical albino especially, but nah, this movie just kinda creeps me out.

Frustrating fantasy film never properly capitalises on its intriguing premise - while this tale of an outsider with supernatural powers is not exactly original, Flanery makes him a specific and unusual character; in fact, none of the actors can be faulted here, with Goldblum and Henriksen especially good bringing their usual quirks to liven their familiar characters, but a tendency to indulge in gushy sentiment rather than grapple with Powder's nature makes this passable but disappointing.

This movie is like a meaner and less visually polish Edward Scissor Hands. I quite like it because it has a couple of very good moments, Jeremy "Powder" looks cool and may seem intimidated by people, but he is not afraid he is in another level and doesn't care about being super intelligent or having powers, he wants a human connection but is hard and the movie shows that struggle very well.

Movie was incredibly boring when I saw it in theaters, but I was 14 at the time. Maybe even younger. I'd give it a second look, but I'm not remembering anything stellar about the film.

This is one of the first flicks I vividly remember seeing in theatres, and I think I remember so much of it because Powder has such sympathy. I can still watch this flick and love it. The way Salva displays Powder's forced isolation and compels you to feel and empathize with him.. it still gets me.

Relentlessly sappy, but it definitely had me the whole time through. Twice. Within only a couple months. That's more than more than I can say about a lot of films. I think it helped that it's extremely short. Meh!
