Pork Pie

I thought this was an okay remake. It definitely didn't have the innocent charm of the original, but it felt pretty sincere. Some of the dialogue was pretty funny, but it didn't always come through because of the timing or the performances. Dean O'Gorman was really good, but I can't say I was very impressed by James Rolleston. Good soundtrack. I enjoyed it as a New Zealand film, but it's hard to say whether it would be seen as anything special by anyone else.

Kinda fun but really insubstantial, and not humorous with shallow characters. Still kind of a neat little car chase movie. I haven't seen the original so I don't know how it compares.
