In this unearthed lost movie from 1990 that the studio deemed too terrible to release, a Vietnam Veteran Sal Bando(Sorbo), tortured by his past as a Poolboy returns home to Van Nuys, California, and a country he doesn't recognize, in which it seems only Mexicans run pool-cleaning companies. Bando sets off on a brutal mission to reclaim his "rightful" vocation and enact revenge on the man(Trejo) who killed his wife and son. (imdb)

Poolboy is not a movie. It is a hungry, deformed maw in the middle of a void where comedy comes to die, eternally gnashing. Poolboy is the hunchbacked conductor of a symphony consisting only of the audience's groans and painful, awkward silences. In a universe filled with wonder and beauty, Poolboy is a malevolent entity that horribly warps all it touches. It is the Anti-Funny equation. If the Creator Of Everything finally dies, his last whisper will consist of two words: "Fuck Poolboy".

Saint James Street James is the greatest filmmaker ever to get his first hand job from a clown in his youth. Kevin Sorbo and Danny Trejo have lots of fun with all of the casual racism, and the meta aspects of a filmmaker presenting a lost film make sure it never gets boring. I can't wait to see the director's next film, FDR: American Badass. A 3.9 on IMDB? All these negative reviews here? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?

No just.... no... This movie infuriated me; it was so unfunny that I was on the verge throwing myself out of the window. Maybe this was the reason why I've got 'The Eternal Scowl' on my face

As a parody of the racial politics of crappy US action movies (and TV, for those who remember that THE A TEAM were mostly defeating a different set of racial stereotypes each week) this was way better than I expected.
