I'd been exposed to some buzz about this, concentrating on the naturally impressive fact that never before had access been granted to document the single most prestigious yeshiva on film. And it is interesting, but it isn't earth-shattering. I somehow expected there to be something deeper, less expected, and more dramatic than just straightforward talk about the institute being elite, competitiveness, and the stifling of self-expression in favor of mandated conformity.
