Polly of the Circus

The 1932 version is on par with the original 1917 version, with the same main fault. The experience doesn't capture the true spirit of love as it so desperate tries to! Clark Gable and Marion Davies are alright individually, but as a couple they don't have chemistry and when the rest of the plot is rather poorly put together, the magic never happens. My favorite bits involved Raymond Hatton as the woman hating servant with dust on his head! But the rest is surprisingly tame.
