Women in politics?! Well, who'd dare to go up against Marie Dressler? This is not a straight comedy. It's got some gangster stuff, trouble romance and naturally gender politics. And I'm not sure where they were going with this movie for the whole plot was somewhat a mess. But at least the trio of Dressler, Polly Moran and Roscoe Ates had their funny scenes. Especially Ates as Polly's poor husband was put to good use here and in many ways saved this from total disaster.
