The opening credits seem to draw inspiration from Fox's/ Singer's X-men adaptations. The animation is great with vivid colour and sharp layers, and so are the designs of the buildings, forests and characters. The plot is decent, but the film is let down by poor dialogue and voice acting (at least in the English dub). The megalomaniacal villain is also unsympathetic and annoying, making the film a little less compelling.

The animation's really great, the city looks lovely (I'd like to live there myself), but the plot is really plain. Also, it seems to be overloaded with presence of so many legendary pokemons, yet there are no fireworks - they don't show their true powers (rememer what Entei from the 3rd movie could do?Then you know what I mean). Zorua's ability of changing shapes adds a little fun, but its laughter is irritating. Somehow, this movie misses the magical and thrilling atmosphere from first movies :(
