Amusing, and perhaps the only one of the four Roald Dahl shorts to have something like a point. These films do all seem a bit like they were made by Max Fischer, but that is in no way a criticism: to the contrary.

Not my favorite out of the recent Roald Dahl short movies on Netflix. Still very much enjoyed this new 'style' of movie and the actors are GREAT. Just not my favorite story.

The production worked really well for this story, adding visual flair to what would otherwise be a very static image.

Possibly more effective than Henry Sugar. Nice to see Anderson working in a slightly more tense/suspenseful tone than usual.

I detest this movie format of narration throughout.

Wonderfully tense with a proper puncturing at the end.

Amusing, well-acted and suspenseful. The fourth-wall narration style didn't bother me as much as it did during the first two previous shorts I watched of this same four part Anderson/Dahl saga.

It does leave me pondering the themes and point of it all. I guess it has that going for it.

Works best out of the shorter three Wes Anderson-Roald Dahl movies. Greatly uses the limited characters and scenarios.

Good performances and the paranoid mood make this one pretty successful, but the resolution lacks punch.

This one feels pretty distinct amongst Anderson's work while still containing most of his hallmarks. He shakes his visual style ever so slightly with some unsteady handheld camerawork and rotation, which wouldn't stand out at all in most filmmakers' work but feel radical in Anderson's

I was gripping the edge of my seat the whole time, loved Benecdict Cumbemer subtle acting. The narration was good, but a bit much sometimes

I don't get Anderson's recent works, and since you have to hear rapid dialogues (in this case, scene descriptions!) you might not get the chance to enjoy any of it.

Probably the weakest of the recent Wes/Dahl shorts but nonetheless tense and interesting.

These short films all feel like one of the reasons streaming exists. I am unsure how they'd work sitting in a theatre as one collection. But I enjoyed watching them each over a month span.

Not Wes having a shaky cam moment.

Poison feels more Anderson than Dahl especially given the narration (even if they are Dahl's words). The ending also feels a little too pessimistic rather than funny. Bonus points for the sound editing during the paned phone call.

This one in an exercise in tension -- well acted and paced -- and the story itself is so well told that you're not really ready for the face-slap in the end. Satisfying.

A most tense situation that explodes in unresolved personal feelings. Anderson could be the best Indian filmmaker since Satyajit Ray.

Predictable from the start. The last thing I will see/read from Roald Dahl.
