It took me a while to tune in this film’s wavelength. It’s comedic but not overtly so. It’s also not among the most stylish gialli and the murder set pieces are quite tame, but director Cavara obviously had something else on mind than to follow the usual tropes. It's among the most political ones, features a different kind of lead character, and as a whole, it's also one of the most original entries in the sub genre. It was also fun/weird to see a young Tom Skerritt along with Eli Wallach.
