A really cheesy B-movie, but it's a lot of fun to watch. The stop motion animation of the dinosaurs is actually pretty good, and the music is bizarre. There are fairly noble intentions behind the story, but the other aspects are so horrible that it can't be taken seriously. I also kept expecting it to suddenly turn into a weird porno. Recommended!

Basically like watching the bands Abba and Asia hiking in an arid wilderness in leotards, drinking peyote, and every once in a while they're attacked by stop motion dinosaurs. My parents' generation in a nutshell.

I like this movie. The story's good enough. The acting's good enough. All the basic shit's good enough, and some of it is better than that, like some of the dialogue. I love the eerie, nostalgic 80s synth music. And the special effects are in a whole different league. Oh, and I had this on VHS when I was a little boy, and I watched it a ton of times, so there's that. This was my Jurassic Park before Jurassic Park changed my life.

The stop-motion animation is really impressive. All, what, 3 minutes of it. Harryhausen fans will love those three minutes. Only hiking enthusiasts will find anything worthwhile about the rest of the movie.

Extremely cheap sci fi movie filmed in familiar locations in Southern California. Far too much aimless wandering by the humans, far too little screen time for cheezy stop motion dinosaurs. Took three sessions to watch it - I fell asleep twice before I got to the underwhelming ending. Too boring to be a so-bad-it's-good. Maybe just fast forward to the dino sequences.

A shirtless, muscle-bound man wandering through an arid wasteland filled with hungry reptilian monsters while cheesy 8-bit electronica loops in the background. If I didn't know I was watching a movie, I would think I was playing the NES version of Rygar.

Cheesy but fun. It was cliche ridden of course but I didn't feel it got bogged down by it. The stop motion was very good. [Rifftrax has a lot of time to fill, a LOT of time to fill. They did an admirable job on this one and while lacking any true zingers was still good.]
