i watched it on a plane so yeah, pretty fitting huh.

Staggeringly boring. Even my 3 year old can't stand it.

Why are they dusting crops? There are no people. The vehicles are the people. And cows.

I don't think planes can talk. Then again, I have been known to make mistakes...from time to time.

No better (or worse) than the boatloads (planeloads?) of other direct-to-home-video sequels Disney has crapped out in recent decades. Nothing here worthy of theatrical. Unamusing script, little stakes, I can't imagine it proving anywhere near as exciting as Cars for the young 'uns.

So this is basically take Cars 1, remove all the good things about the movie except a few plot points that we'll mix up a bit. To really set it apart we'll make it about planes instead of cars. That's pretty much Planes. It's about racing with planes, but instead of the superstar learning humility, it's the crop duster learning he can win a race against actual racing planes because he's got heart, compassion, guts and can fly low to the ground or something.

Classic underdog story. Doesn't bring much to the table.

Boring and awful. It's also bizarre because you can see and hear where they put the jokes but they are just aggressively not funny

The existence of WWII in this movie indicates that there is a HitlerPlane/HitlerCar.

While not a great movie and in many ways seems to be a nearly the same story as Cars and Turbo this isn't half bad. In fact I can honestly say that I actually liked this better then either of them. Average Disney film nothing more, nothing less.

Forgettable.

For toddlers and infants, who dont really need a good script to be entertainted.

Disney doing what Disney does best - producing crappy media to keep selling merchandise. If you haven't seen it, don't.

I went in with such low expectations, and it still managed to disappoint me immensely somehow.

Kids will love it but compared to what Disney has delivered in the past there's no doubt it falls short.

A little bit entertaining, but I have seen this movies a few too many times and done way better. A complete Cars rip-off my kids said.

I don't understand all the backlash. I haven't seen cars, but I can't imagine it was that much better... like, it's not the worst thing I've ever seen. By far.

Maybe entertaining for 5 year olds, not older...

Planes plays out like a cross between Cars 2 and the pod racing scenes from Star Wars Episode I stretched out to 90 minutes. I have no idea why this got cinematic release - it's probably the worst animated film to do so from Disney. Propping up DisneyToon mediocrity in cinemas under the main Disney moniker is not a very good idea. Dane Cook sucks.

Maybe I rate to high... If I do it's because of the nice 3D effects.

A sequel to the worst sequel to the worst Pixar movie. How does that not say everything you need to know?

Do not watch planes, do not watch planes. DO NOT WATCH PLANES. Literally giving this 0 probably ruins my tier system. They used so many almost unethical tactics to make this movie, they don't deserve any positive buzz or money.

That's the kind of a hero and friend who gives young viewers just a little extra to chew on while they're strapped in their cinematic seat with popcorn in hand and tray table down. It's the kind of "right stuff" that makes this simple animated underdog story soar just a little bit higher. (pluggedin.com)

Disney is capable of better.

He's a little plane, but all he wants to do is fly with the big planes, ya know? I wonder if he'll succeed if he just, like, puts his heart into it, and stuff? Bleccccccccccch is what I say about this frigging thing. Might possibly be the most unoriginal, through-the-motions picture Disney has ever produced.
