Plain Clothes

Arliss Howard was in his thirties at the time they made this so they put him into some funky fresh clothes, and voilà! He's a high schooler! They brilliantly skirt the issue of any possible inappropriate relationships he might have with underage students by having a teacher begin a wholly inappropriate relationship with him while she thinks he's an underage student. This is otherwise fun in nature and has a great cast surrounding our hero. That no one questions his age only adds to the spirit.

Plain Clothes gets by on its corny 80s sense of humor. The plot suffers from its reliance on a red herring subplot, but the actors appear to have a good time with the quirky characterizations. Bonus points for the accurate depiction of Seattle in the 80s.
