John Wayne & Randolph Scott as pals and business partners until Wayne gets greedy and is sent on a soft head-lesson-learned cycle for a happy ending. The guys were dynamic, and almost covers or the lack of depth in the script. They did a uneven job with Marlene Dietrich. There was those classic shining Dietrich shots, but at other times the lighting was really in her disfavor. Her position in the movie was also a little pushed back compared the the boys, but there's no denying her worth in this.
