A group of men calling themselves 'The Pirates of Capri", headed by Captain Sirroco, who is really Count Amalfi, are trying to restore freedom to the people of Naples in 1779. The Queen is advised of the pirate's assault of a member of her court and she seeks to escape to Palermo. Primarily a Hollywood production moved to Italy using actors from both nations and directed by journey man Edgar G. Ulmer. It follows the familiar theme of masked heroes fighting the corrupt people luring around the castle. The hero being Louis Hayward, both as a tough man, but also as the most feminine alter-ego they could get away with. I was really enjoying it, though, I'm probable enjoying these B-adventures more than most.
