Keshava Panicker (Madhu), an honest engineer, has a lot of dreams for his son Unni (Mammootty), a medical student. But when Unni teams up with four of his rich and spoiled college mates, he falls into bad ways. To support his new lifestyle, he starts stealing money from his parents & accepting bribes from his dad's acquaintances. This enrages his dad who kicks him out of the house, leaving his mother Sridevi (Srividya) & his cousin/girlfriend Parvathi (Poornima Jayaram) torn between the two men. (Summary by iceblox)
