Petty Romance

Top badass moment? The very cool animated sequences, which provide most of the violence and probably saved a ton on special effects too. Didn’t get any of those in Notting Hill or Four Weddings... This is a romantic comedy, so as you'd expect the story is trash and the characters stupid. But like all good rom-coms it somehow works. Was disappointing to see Da-Rim chuck lots of torn up paper out of a bus window though; what a vindictive little litter bug. No cats, chainsaws or decapitations.

Not one of my favourite K-dramas. I found the characters kind of grating and narcissistic, while the romantic plot followed templates that have been around the block countless times. The highlights are when they are plotting their comic book story and the film dives off into several different animation styles.
