Universal brings back Perils of Pauline to life after the serials was a success in 1914. This 1933 story is based in indo-china in the middle of the revolution in search for a couple of ivory disc to create a death formula. This sure was action-packed! A bit over-load if you ask me. Could have done with more character building as they had about 4 hours to get more out of the personalities, but instead it was all about the adventure using a lot of stock footage and exotic sets to create suspense.
