A ho-hum programmer only slightly redeemed by a 45-year-old Thelma Ritter (miscast as a woman happily pregnant with her fifth child) and some good newspaperman dialogue left over from the original Ben Hecht/ Charles Lederer play.

Perfect Strangers (1950) is a bleak jury romance. A rare serious role for Ginger Rogers, which might be why this is rarely mentioned among her most memorable considering she was so much better at the more lighthearted stuff. More a interesting observation than a film that grips you.
