All the ingredients are there, some good actors and an interesting premise, but the movie is cramped with all the effects and twists they could think of, so the overall effect is a crappy movie. It's unbalanced, strangly edited, and a movie is NEVER good when a main actor has to hold a monologue for 5 minutes to explain the plot. Stay away from this one. Also, why is this movie rated R? There's absolutely nothing to see to be shocked about.

Do you know what happens to you when you watch some lame-ass movie starring Halle Berry? The same thing that happens to everyone else. ... Sorry, it sounded better in my head.

Perfect Stranger is a terrible thriller that, if it didn't have Halle Berry and Bruce Willis in the cast list, would have been released directly onto home video. I think it should have been anyway. It makes little sense, isn't at all thrilling, has poor acting, and is completely ruined by its twist ending. This is a movie that you have no reason to think about, no reason to waste your time watching, and no reason to even consider giving the time of day. Stay as far away from it as you can.

Kudos to whoever made Bruce Willis's wig for this. It's the best thing in the flick, and should have had its own credit.

The very last shot of this movie genuinely made me laugh hysterically....and not in a good way.

Good acting and a magnificent plot. You can't really watch it a second time though.

Decent to the middle, when they used every single plot twist they though about, which ruins the film.

I really hated Halle and the role she played in this film, just awful. Next to that this one is so unrealistic. There were a few good points, but when I saw the ending, saw her stabbing Miles with a knife i really went OMG..

Rather unapt attempt to make a thriller, and that with nice actors which is a shame.

More entertaining if you just leave typical logic out of it. They don't want to be clever, they just want to entertain.

"stranger" is obviously far from "perfect". the actors are really good but the movie is very boring. and it doesn't always make sense. the movie has a shocking twist at the end but i saw it coming from the beginning. am i the only one?

While the acting or initial plot wouldn't be anything to brag about anyway, the movie wants to throw out all these bizarre twists, with the final rendering the entire structure flawed and senseless. The real reason to endure this would've been for Berry and Willis, but their chemistry is dead and goes mostly unused. Busy, dumb, and messy.

Perfect Stranger wants to be an erotic thriller with twists and turns to let the audience guess, and with one killer twist in the end. But, alas, Perfect Stranger is neither erotic nor thrilling, and the twists are predictable - except the final one, but then you have long stopped caring for the cut and dried characters who remain as distant as a casual online-acquaintance.
