Oh putain !

Despite its predictability David Mackenzie's film is truly affecting, thanks in no small part to the excellent score, and montage/voiceover sequences which offer a chance to step away from the protagonists and imagine the effects of a terrible affliction on humanity, and indeed yourself. The leads' performances are decent as is the overall staging of the mini-apocalypse, allowing Mackenzie to slice straight into the emotional core without the needs for subplots or banal details. A fine film.

Interesting idea, and a refreshingly different take on the disaster film. The major weakness is the main characters, who are not likeable and have no chemistry together.

Pretty emotionally dense for 90 minutes. Still, Perfect Sense runs the gambit of emotions and does so in pretty unique (and sometimes funny) ways. Green outshines McGregor, but the acting is strong all around. A beautiful film in spite of its brevity.

Bleak, sentimental, but ultimately triumphant. This one isn't one that would be on the rewatch list anytime soon as it is a hard watch at times, but it's a good one off artsy and melodramatic spin on the apocalypse genre. 7.0

Bunch of interesting ideas evolve into a cliche ridden narrative. I would probably be softer on the film if I watched it before 2020 but my only reaction now is "yeah what else???"

A really imbalanced film, it portrays darkness really well like The Road. It does not really build story well. Plus 0.5 for score and 0.5 for Green's spectacular boobs. The ending minus 0.5 for me. An intentionally artsy film

Some parts of this sadly extremely topical pandemic drama were very effective.

Maybe a little too obvious in its romance-as-apocalypse metaphors, but the emotional tone was pretty much spot-on for me, helped of course by Richter's overwhelming score.

Way too fucking pretentious for its own good. Airless and almost impossible to sit through, only to be offered some platitudes at the end about some twat's idea of the nature of life.

Superior romantic (mystery virus) drama. I loved Eva Green in this.

Apocalyptic romance that avoids the cheap gore 'n' violence for something far more interesting. Atmospheric like Coupland's Girlfriend in a Coma without the smirkiness.

Oh, the third act is just mesmerizing. Ewan McGregor, in his minimalist performance, owns the screen. Makes you speechless.

Like every obnoxious filth that hasn't the slightest idea of how to treat its rather neat concept, deceives its audience into thinking it's internalizing something profound through a series of hokey tantrums, ponderous soliloquies and stilted dialogues. I must've lost complete interest around the time Eva Green and some lady started devouring their own toothpaste and lipstick, respectively; At least I think that was toothpaste... I'm so confused right now..

There seem to be a lot of apocalyptic movies about lately. This one has a different take, and although I don't like McGregor and Eva Green too much, I did enjoy watching this.

Good for young or slow people.
Younglings; you don't know a thing so this is interesting for you.
Slow metabolized people; You didn't read, watched enough, so this movie is still interesting for you.
Geeks; Stay away!

The sci-fi idea was intrigue, but I did not find much of chemistry between leads and I'm not a big fan of Ewan McGregor. Eve Green was as shiny as always. The director then again did not handle all the situations as he should. But yes. We are prisoners of our senses. You better enjoy what you've got.
