Perfect

The most disgusting movie of the 80s. I’ve seen enough Travolta bulge to last several life times. I didn’t want this.

I'm not going to say this is a good movie, but it's not quite as bad as a lot of the ratings would indicate. What makes this mediocre film appear to be even less than mediocre is the fact that the 80's just didn't age well. If the flick comes off as cheesy and shallow, well... the 80's were largely cheesy and shallow. Just my opinion as one cat who survived them.

A convoluted drama that seems at times remarkably self-aware (the second-act climax set to a disco version of the 'William Tell' Overture is a fairly clear piss-take), only to ultimately stick close to the expectations of the genre. You can detect at times an almost 'Showgirls'-like satirical undercurrent and a sense of excess that save the film from being a complete dud, but not by much.

Some fun, some suspense, some sexy stuff. But nothing beyond some.

Decent film, I would have asked for sexier, but decent romance.
