Pensione paura

Occasionally effective giallo. The main reason to watch is Leonora Fani's excellent performance in the central role - surely one of the best horror heroines who have graced the screen. The goings-on of the plot are sometimes scary and sometimes make little or no sense, and the pacing is quite uneven. Thankfully the stylised lighting and unsubtle score do not swamp the film too much like in others of this genre. Overall a bit silly but worth a look if you like arty European horror flicks.

A lot of people call this a Giallo and I just don't see it. This is a twisted drama more than anything else. I found this to be really entertaining in a twisted sort of way.

Decent giallo, but like the same director's Perfume of the Lady in Black, it's a little too slow and somber.
