I like the setting, but both the story and the actors (beyond Ayaydin) are formulaic - and where it comes to detail, it seems steeped in a screenwriter's imagination, rather than on the ground experience.

Probabaly the best lead performance I've seen for a long time. I am really impressed that so I decided to write it in English... I understand that it is a bit tricky and too "westerny" to make a cosmopolitan statement through the identity of the city (maybe the country I am not sure) but I am so convinced to the main character and the way his story develops that I decided to not think about that. Sociologist's dilemma...
