Manal Issa felt like sort of a blank canvas, in that the people around her decide what her life will be like, from politics to sex. A slice of life that didn't really say much about life, but I guess I just can't identify with these kinds of conflicts.

Flawed drama which tries to build a story around the social and political issues faced by a young Lebanese immigrant in Paris, but runs into a ton of character issues. The main character is painted as a victim, but quickly becomes unlikeable through a series of immature actions which only reinforce the negative stereotype of illegals. The rest of the time, this character is smily, bubbly, and seems to form an instant rapport with anyone she meets, which makes no sense. Frustratingly uneven.
