Very much my kind of movie in every way. Has the anarchic spirit of Tashlin and Lewis, and the unabashed romance of Mitchell Leisen.

I really liked the idea and set up but it really doesn't reel me in. Audrey Hepburn was regal and funny, William Holden seemed old and tired but maybe that was just acting. It was worth a watch but both have done much better.

The american remake of one of my favorites Duviver movies. And with Audrey Hepburn! I was skeptical about it at first, but to my surprise it is very well done. They increase the comedy to absolute hilarity, more chaining nods to the industry and wonderful cinematography. The only aspects I don’t like (and why the original is better) is that the main guy is too much of an incel, not cool. It is not unbearable, just unfortunate. Regardless, I had a great time :)

Slightly underrated romantic comedy starring a very good Holden and Hepburn. The framing is really fun, especially toward the beginning when they are throwing ideas out before backing up or throwing them out entirely. The satirical thriller within the movie is fun and funny. Often gets very meta. Quite unconventional as a comedy, mostly in a good way. Obviously nowhere near Hepburn or Holden's best, but it's a lot of fun.

A very playful, and for the viewer enjoyable, celebration of the Golden Age of Hollywood. Perhaps veering towards the ridiculous on one too many occasions. Holden and Hepburn are both charming, but it is Curtis and Coward that are the highlights.

Fun meta comedy that's ultimately more fun as a commentary on cliched 60s thriller comedies than a movie in itself.

It's baffling that 70% of the time is spent in a movie within a movie that William Holden dismisses upon the conclusion of its telling as "contrived, utterly preposterous and totally unmotivated". Hepburn is quite good, but that's not nearly enough.

To quote Bill Shakespeare, "Full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing."

All-time favourite. I don't care what anyone else says about this film.

One of Audrey Hepburn's lesser films. Mixed bag throughout and William Holden was going through serious personal problems at the time.
