Pardon My Pups

For a comedy short this sure had it's share of brutal violence! A dog owner wanted to beat his dog for running away using a big stick and Frank Coghlan Jr. starts the fight to stop him from killing the pregnant doggy. Little Shirley Temple brings the cuteness to the fight which sort of mellows it out a little, but still kind of a strange idea. Some of the gags are good, still these shorts with Coghlan are usually fairly poor. This is still one of the better of the series.
