Parasyte: Part 2

This was a big step down from the first film and it seems to be because the deviated too far from the source material and couldn't pull the story together in a satisfying way.

Similar to part one, it's good content, meets adaptation, only this time with a "wait so is the movie ending now or what" kind of edge to it. Sure it doesn't ruin the movie, but it obviously does the experience no favours either.

I made the error of going into this one without watching Part 1. Had hoped it was a separate entry, but it's a straight continual, so a lot of the relations and happening get established in the first one. One do pick up the pieces after a while. Either way, this is a adorable alien slasher. That hand parasyte was cool. The film moves a little too slow in between the battles, trying to make an almost sentimental horror film without linking it together strong enough.

I was really looking forward to this one after I hugely satisfied with the first part. What a huge disappointment.
