Neighbors & childhood friends Appukuttan (Benny) & Thanka (Soorya) grow up together falling in love. However, they face stiff opposition from Appukuttan's family on account of Thanka's family being poor. Forced to leave Appukuttan, Thanka decamps with local moonshiner Velu (Nedumudi Venu), who had an eye on Thanka, but whom she hated, to a far off place.
