Top badass moment? Whenever Harry doesn't like the cost of anything in a shop, he seems to just punch the owner in the face. Think I'll stick to using a credit card myself. I enjoyed this movie in a crappy Saturday morning Western kind of way, when men were men and woman were portrayed as a bit useless. It's just a shame the music wouldn't've been out of place in a Carry On film; I kept expecting Barbara Windsor's bra to make an appearance. No cats, chainsaws or decapitations.

Things go to shit just as fast as they restore order. What it lacks in terrifying nuclear holocaust it makes up for in people getting slugged in the face.

Milland stooped pretty low when he decided to be associated with something so low budget, but the man had talent. Pretty decent early nuclear holocaust movie.

Easily one of the best end of the world movies out there. Ray Milland reaches fever-pitch levels of determined insanity. His solution to the problem of crossing a busy highway is worth the price of admission alone.

Adequate but unremarkable film about the breakdown and restoration of society after the bombs drop. There are a few cool bits here but for the most part it's fairly standard stuff, though they get the most out of a very limited budget.

Good breakdown of society film. It's nothing spectacular, but considering it's an AIP flick, it's pretty impressive. I wonder whether Milland had a deal with AIP about directing this film, as he had starred in several of their films around this period. Similarly, I wonder if there's a link between Cornel Wilde directing No Blade of Grass and Milland doing this. Post-Apocalyptic Post-Stardom?

Totally entertaining and engaging. I will say Ray Milland was a little "wooden", though he did direct himself. Loved the unusual soundtrack for the subject matter.

It looks as if the man has always been looking for the day -the day in which the beast in himself awakens

Ultra low budget end of the world programmer from cheapie studio American-International that greatly benefits from catching Ray Milland on the downward curve of his career. Only his performance and the performances he gets as director from the rest of the cast save this from being strictly dullsville, baby.
