Lucille Ball as Lucy! No it's not a pilot for the "I Love Lucy" show, rather then a remake of the much better precoder Panama Flo (1932). A heavy drama which wasn't suited to Ball's range unfortunately. Didn't feel like they tried very hard with Panama Lady (1939) anyway. Just another release as far as production went. Still it's always interesting to see how natural comedians handle serious roles like this even if it doesn't always work out.
