Paid

The first half of Paid is actually pretty great with Joan Crawford nailing her part and her gang coming together. Falls apart a bit the second half when the plot thickens and poor melodrama creeps in. But for a early talkie the overall quality is strong (even if the print I saw could use some restoration) and entertains through-out, mostly because of the versatility Crawford shows in her performance.
